The Origin
I lived in Japan for about 1.5 years, mostly in Osaka, learning Japanese through self-study. The hardest part wasn’t the language itself—it was figuring out how to learn it effectively.
Genki Source exists to give learners what I wish I had: comprehensive and clear study guides, in-depth explanations of fundamental concepts, and extensive supplementary material. The snack and culture content started with my experience living in Japan, but it’s also become my way of staying connected—exploring new snacks, learning more about the culture, and sharing those discoveries as I go.
